David Cox
District B Council Member
David Cox represents District B and has served on the Raleigh City Council since his first election in 2015. Council Member Cox is vice-chair of the Safe, Vibrant and Healthy Community Committee and is a member of the Growth and Natural Resources Committee.
Council Member Cox is a senior IT analyst with the Clinical Imaging Physics Group at Duke Health. He earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a PhD in computer science from North Carolina State University.
Council Member Cox has lived in North Carolina since 2001 and enjoys photography, hiking, and biking. He is married to Helen Cox.
