NC 2-1-1 can refer callers to local organizations best equipped to address their specific health and human services needs including food, shelter, and much more. For COVID-19 resources, assistance, and updates, residents can just call 2-1-1 (TTY 888-892-1162) or text COVIDNC to 898211.
NC 2-1-1 operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and resources are available in most languages. NC 2-1-1 cannot provide direct medical services and COVID-19 can only be diagnosed by a health care professional.
People should only call 9-1-1 if they are experiencing an emergency. 9-1-1 centers across North Carolina have been receiving general questions and other non-emergency calls related to COVID-19. Please do not call 9-1-1 unless you have an emergency.

The City of Raleigh's revenue counter is open to the public at the Raleigh Municipal Building from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Development Services Customer Service Center at One Exchange Plaza is offering in-person services by appointment only. Individuals and contractors are still encouraged to use virtual services. Appointments can be scheduled by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-996-2500.
City Council and other Public Meetings
In the Spring of 2020, the State of North Carolina, Wake County, and the City of Raleigh all declared States of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 virus.
The General Assembly has approved the use of remote meetings during the statewide COVID-19 state of emergency pursuant to Session Law 2020-2, N.C. Gen. Stat. § 166A-19.24. The remote meetings of the City Council and the City Boards will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of that statute.
City Council meetings were held remotely for more than 12 months and returned to in-person meetings as of June 15, 2021.

It provides information on food distribution sites and those that serve to children 18 and under, so that they may get meals during school closures. Users are able to enter their address and find the nearest food distribution site, along with directions and specific details.
